Robotic dog at nursing homes and elderly centers as interactive companions to help ease isolation and relieve depression. It can be used to deliver food and medicine, or disinfect rooms from afar. Other use cases like automate routine inspection tasks and data capture or drive remotely to get eyes on inspection from afar.
Roadmap for the robotic dog includes the implementation of the following,
1. Autonomous moving navigation. The robot dog can move from location A to B automatically without human control
2. Facial recognition to identify individual elderly to provide guidance on direction, lead the way through and behave like a real lovely dog
3. Sensors to provide the monitoring and tracking of elderly activities and provide the alert to the central system if abnormalities found
