In GIES 2019, we exhibited a Tai-Chi Robot which helps senior citizens master the complex art of learning Tai-Chi. Since then, we have broaden the capability of that Robot. The older version has a prewired routine which cannot be easily altered, like having a music player which can play only one song. The new version functions like a record player which can play any pre-recorded motion routine that you feed into it. We have built a companion motion recorder for Tai Chi Masters to make recordings of routines. For GIES 2020, we shall also exhibit a Tai-Chi Saddle-Chair to assist people with lower limb disabilities to exercise with the Robot. Also, using AI technology, we have greatly enhanced the clarity of the graphical display of the Foot Pressure Distribution Biofeedback Machine. Altogether, four smart machines designed to enhance the quality of life of the elderly and people with disabilities.
