With an aim to adopt the latest technology to promote the concept of “Ageing-in-Place” to the public, Housing Society Elderly Resources Centre (ERC) has carried out a massive renovation project in the mid of 2020, and the revamped ERC with new facilities will be launched in late 2020. For GIES 2020, ERC will present selected key elements of the revamped ERC, showcasing assistive equipment to cater for elders with different needs, i.e., elderly with better physical abilities that can live independently, as well as the frail elderly that require more assistance from others. By means of this, ERC targets to demonstrate how to achieve Age-Friendly Home in unique context of HK (small living space) as well as to showcase local and international gerontech products which are suitable and applicable in HK. ERC will be mainly showcasing two distinct Bedrooms, with home design and gerontech products that are suitable for Independent Elderly and Dependent Elderly respectively in their daily lives.
